Ghana Volunteers (GV) is a Volunteer Service Organization that operates at the grass roots level in Ghana where we place volunteers. Ghana Volunteer (GV) is a Ghana based charity organisation which works towards creating and preserving international peace, justice and human solidarity for deprived communities in Ghana.
Through a range of working projects in rural Communities, GV provides volunteers with opportunities to work together with people from around the globe and in partnership with local groups to enhance and empower rural communities.Our organization was founded in 1995. Volunteer in Africa with Ghana Volunteers. Our objective is to help more people gain the life changing, life affirming experiences that volunteering can give. We are committed to enabling skill transfer, enabling organizations in the developing world to access different skill sets and to helping volunteers realize the value they can add using the skills they hold.
We hope our volunteers will become responsible global citizens as a result of their experience with Ghana Volunteers, promoting the need for social change and raising awareness in their home communities on the issues they encountered. Africa has a lot to offer but also needs support, the support it rightfully deserves.
Please be aware that Ghana Volunteers Placements are not glorified holidays but rather opportunities to live and work alongside the community. Please read the information contained on this website thoroughly and take your time to think about whether you will be happy in the environment in which you will be living and working.
You can select a project from our range of summer Workcamp opportunities (2-4 weeks), Medium Term Volunteering (1-6 months) and Long Term Volunteering (6+ months).
We are specialized organization for volunteer and internship opportunities in Ghana. Anybody who decides to do this kind of work for a period of time is most welcome in our projects. It doesn’t matter if one is still a student in school or university, a professionalist or already retired, there are no restrictions at all. We are totally flexible with dates, with the election of your project even with travelling, living and all the other issues which could occur.
Our job is to organize a comfortable stay for you, a package which you will be satisfied with. This includes pre and on arrival coordination, organization of your personal traineeship, home stay, board and a lot more, so that you actually only have to APPLY on our homepage, book your flight, get a travel insurance and look after your vaccination. Even with that little more, what has to be organized by yourself, we will assist you continuously.
